125th Anniversary Party With Vogue to Bulgari

The Vogue joined Bulgari it ws a very particular cause at the Saatchi gallery in London last night for a glittering party that saw royalty rub shoulders with rock stars and Bond girls in the name of Save The Children's Rewrite the Future campaign as part of the jewellery brand's 125th birthday celebrations. Princess Michael of Kent and Natalie Imbruglia rubbed shoulders with Jacquetta Wheeler and Razorlight's Johnny Borrell as Bulgari ceo Francesco Trapani, Nicola Bulgari and Alexandra Shulman presented 18 one-of-a-kind jewels and watches that will go to auction at Christie's in New York in December. Champagne was sipped as diamonds twinkled in the eyes of the exclusive assembly and, as Razorlight performed a private set for Olga Kurylenko, Laura Bailey, the Geldof girls, Bill Nighy et al, Bulgari looked set to achieve their pledge to raise €10 million for Save the Children by the end of 2009.

Pop/Dance Music 2/10/09

Brummie quartet The Editors were amongst the wave of new, hip bands, including Franz Ferdinand, Zutons, Maximo Park, Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys and Razorlight, which stormed both the charts and indie club dancefloors back in 2005.
Some have since fared better than others, with ‘difficult' second albums and artistic differences diluting some of the bands' initial appeal.
Not so The Editors, who can count two platinum selling albums, a Brit Award and Mercury Music Prize nominations and sell out shows all over the UK amongst their credits during the past few years.
With their third LP release In This Light And On This Evening out later this week, the album's promotional tour kicks off at St George's Market on Wednesday and, despite selling out Belfast's Mandela Hall on two previous occasions, this date is set to be the longest gig the band have ever played in Northern Ireland. Fans can expect to hear plenty of new material, as well as past musical glories which should include their hit singles Munich and Blood. Tickets, priced at £22, are still available and support comes courtesy of Canadian indie rock five piece, Wintersleep.

Next album Razorlight 'want to work with Noel Gallagher'

Band say they 'need some northern cred'. Razorlight have suggested that Noel Gallagher should help produce their fourth studio album. Johnny Borrell's band, who are recently working on the follow up to 2008's 'Slipway Fires', have said that they are huge fans of the guitarist and songwriter, who currently split from Oasis."Maybe we should get Noel to produce the new Razorlight album. We're looking for a producer," bassist Carl Dalemo told The Mirror. "We want some northern cred!" he added.Meanwhile, Razorlight's new drummer David 'Skully' Sullivan Kaplan insists that he is fitting in well with the band, revealing that they are already working on new material."Within a week it felt like I'd been here for years," he said. "These guys are excellent, the music is so nice, they were very patient, encouraging and enthusiastic. It couldn't have been a better fit, actually. It's been really fun and we're already working on new material and playing new stuff live."
