Rockers 'Golden Touch' will reveal with acts including Newton Faulkner, Yusuf (Cat Stevens), Eliza Doolittle, Youssou N'Dour, Flawless and the English National Ballet at the show on September 21.

At the event a number of speakers will also appear with other acts are including Denise Lewis, Jude Law, Monique Coleman and Peace One Day founder and filmmaker Jeremy Gilley.

Jeremy Gilley said: “Peace One Day is calling for and working towards a Global Truce on Peace Day 2012. We have a clear strategy and we hope this will be the largest reduction in global violence in recorded history, both domestically and internationally. This day is as much about non-violence in our schools, our homes, workplace and local communities as it is about ceasefire on the international stage.

Return to the spotlight have been announced by Razorlight after a long absence, providing fans with a good excuse to buy a new band t-shirt.

Since 2008's Slipway Fires,band haven't released any album and have agreed to headline Haddow Fest, an event in Edinburgh that expects to attract 10,000 music fans.

Organiser Steven Bolton was very happy to confirm Razorlight's appearance in the festival's second year..

"We've been told it's a comeback gig," he added.

Bolton claimed that "for years Glasgow has had the better music scene" and that Haddow Fest is "trying to do something for Edinburgh and for the bands".

The festival will be taking place on April 2nd and 3rd this year.

Electric guitar band Razorlight have announced a new line-up as they continue their comeback.

The group are now made up of Johnny Borrell, David 'Skully' Sullivan Kaplan, Bjorn Agren and Carl Dalemo. It means electric guitar player Johnny Borrell is now the only original member, but he called the choice to recruit new faces as occurring after they "agreed on an amicable parting".

A declaration from the band said the choice to freshen things up had been taken after some infertile recording sessions connecting the preceding members. The latest description of Razorlight have confirmed they are to play Guilfest in Guildford during the summer, which is just one of a number of gigs they have coming up.

Edinburgh Corn swap and a large outside event in London are also on the cards. Razorlight, who shot to fame in 2004 with their debut record Up All Night, are predictable to release their fourth album sometime in 2011.

Northern Ireland's largest outdoor music festival will be headlined by Razorlight over the bank holiday weekend in April.

On Saturday April 30 at Lark In The Park in Moira's Demesne Park, the band will play.

Award-winning rock band Athlete top the bill on Friday April 29, while The Divine Comedy round off the event on Sunday May 1.

Up to 10,000 people are expected to attend the festival will feature five stages with variety of music styles.

At this year's event, more than 80 outfits will take to the stage. There will be an overnight "silent disco", continental market, beer festival and funfair as well as camping space.

This is the third year of the festival, which comes near the start of the outdoor music season.

Tickets go on sale on Friday.

At Sandown Park Racecourse Razorlight opened last week’s concert with their hit song Back to the Start, getting the sun soaked crowd all revved up for what was a fantastic concert from the UK rock’n’roll band from London.
Johnny Borrell and his band members Skully, Carl and Bjorn entertained the crowd with a lively performance of hit songs from their albums Slip Way Fires and Up all Night including In the Morning, Wire to Wire and Golden Touch.
The highlight of the evening was a packed crowd dancing around to the iconic ‘America’.
For The Children's Trust the evening also helped raise funds, a national charity based in Surrey which provides care for some of the UK’s most severely disabled children.
Six of the children recently at the Trust were lucky enough to meet the band themselves. Zoe Savage, head of events at The Children’s Trust said: ”We are thrilled with the success of the evening and would like to say a special thank you to the sponsor, Devine Homes and everyone involved in the evening”

Brummie quartet The Editors were amongst the wave of new, hip bands, including Franz Ferdinand, Zutons, Maximo Park, Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys and Razorlight, which stormed both the charts and indie club dancefloors back in 2005.
Some have since fared better than others, with ‘difficult' second albums and artistic differences diluting some of the bands' initial appeal.
Not so The Editors, who can count two platinum selling albums, a Brit Award and Mercury Music Prize nominations and sell out shows all over the UK amongst their credits during the past few years.
With their third LP release In This Light And On This Evening out later this week, the album's promotional tour kicks off at St George's Market on Wednesday and, despite selling out Belfast's Mandela Hall on two previous occasions, this date is set to be the longest gig the band have ever played in Northern Ireland. Youngsters from Stoke Newington earned themselves tickets to an exclusive gig by doing four hours voluntary work for the community.Up to 100 Orange RockCorps volunteers weeded the grounds and cleared the ivy during a four hour shift at St Paul's Churchyard in Stoke Newington Road on Saturday afternoon. The volunteers earned tickets to a monumental gig at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, September 25, starring rock band Razorlight and a host of other top acts including Kelly Rowland and Daniel Merriweather.The project is a partnership between the mobile phone company Orange and the production company RockCorps.Fr Niall Weir, the curate of St Paul's, said: "Their generous giving of their time has transformed this much used churchyard and that will be a real gift to the people of this area."I have no uncertainty that this enormous team of volunteers will be a great inspiration and example to us all of how time and talent freely and happily given can make the world a better place.

Razorlight roadie falls from bus

Razorlight almost missed a show after their roadie fell from their tour bus on the motorway.
The British band were heading for V Festival in Chelmsford, Essex, where they performed on Saturday, when the accident happened.
Lead singer Johnny Borrell told Absolute Radio: "I didn't personally have a drama at the festival, but as a whole Razorlight had a big drama. One of our roadies got dead drunk, and sort of fell out the door of the bus when it was moving along at 70 mph.
"I think it happened because when he got on the bus it wasn't moving and he was already drunk. The vehicle started going and a bit later he thought, 'OK, I'll get up and go and take a p**s around the corner,' not realizing it was on the road."
The man, known only as Frank, was rushed to a hospital, where he is said to be getting better well.
Borrell was not in the vehicle at the time of the occurrence but added those who were had to see Frank be rolled off the road to avoid oncoming traffic.

RazorLight’s Johnny Borrell: I Now Have The Band I Want

Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell has said he finally has the band he needs following the departure of drummer Andy Burrows. Burrows, who left in March of this year, was replaced by David Sullivan and Borrell has announced his accession has given a hike to the group.
“It was not at all certain that we were going to carry on. We had kind of rehearsed for it (Burrows’ departure) because we had absolutely the same case just after the first album, where Christian Smith-Pancorvo left, then Andy came in. But David fitted in right away. He’s a really great friends and an good drummer so it feels new and exciting.”“There’s no nonsense around at the moment, just people who want to make music,” he said. “We’ve done quite a few songs but it’s early days for titles.”
After their last album, ‘Slipway Fires‘, was poorly received by both fans and critics alike, Borrell has promised fans a different access when the band come back to the studio. “It’s back to the real basic team of the other four of us in a studio,” he explained. “‘Slipway Fires’ was like the art record and this will be absolutely change.”

Razorlight singer, Johnny Borrell has been signed up for a aperture on XFM in Manchester and London.Radio headIt’s not his first incursion into the world of XFM, having presented a show in January for a month.However, this will be an extended run, with 9 outings, starting on September 6th at 9pm.Entitled, The Sunday Service: Songs They Don’t Play on the Radio, How-Do assumes that at least it security no Razorlight on the playlist:"It's the kind of thing that only Xfm would do. When I was doing The Residency, I was making alliance between totally different artists from Iggy Pop, to Buju Banton, to Allen Ginsberg. I don't think there's any radio station in the world that would let me play those three artists, but I did it on Xfm! Stars' pub launches music night

A pub made famous as a regular haunt of stars like Amy Winehouse and Razorlight singer Johnny Borrell has launched a regular live music night.
The Hawley Arms in Camden became known as the favoured hang-out of the north London celebrity set.
It was ravaged by fire in February 2008 but reopened in November.
The Rumble Strips, whose second album was produced by Mark Ronson, headlined the first of a monthly series of gigs, organised by a former barmaid.
Future nights promise big name bands and "special guests only the Hawley could conjure up".
The first gig, on Monday, was watched by 250 fans and raised money for the Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy charity.

History of Razorlight

Razorlight shaped in London in 2002 around vocalist/guitarist Johnny Borrell and guitarist/vocalist and Swedish ex-pat Björn Ågren. Attached by bassist Carl Dalemo and drummer Christian Smith-Pancorvo, the combo recorded some near the beginning demos at London's Toe Rag studios, and those songs led to radio experience and the first stirrings of hype.

Mercury Records signed Razorlight in 2003, and the group began recording their debut in between a series of hectic club gigs, working with U2 and The La's cohort, Steve Lillywhite. Lillywhite soon left the project, but Razorlight sustained to write and record their album while still wowing audiences with a spate of live dates, including a physically powerful showing at the 2004 South by Southwest industry fest.

At this point, drummer Smith-Pancorvo quit the group and was soon swaped by Andy Burrows. Reconfigured, Razorlight launched their debut album , Up ALl Night in August 2004. The launch was hailed for its stylish, fizzy mix of The Strokes' sensibilities and post-Britpop cool. Far from hiding their needs to reach commercial success, greater shows with the likes of Queen/Paul Rodgers and Oasis showcased Razorlight to a wider viewers.
The group's increasing demands hit significant mass on their second, self-titled album. Produced by Chris Thomas (INXS, The Pretenders), it generates a number one in the form of America (a Burrows and Borrell co-write), saw them get on a UK arena tour and headling the Reading/Leeds Festival in 2007.

Razorlight went with new drummer to US

Razorlight have performed the first gig on their US tour exclusive of Andy Burrows. Burrows declared he had quit Razorlight last week. Despite statements from both parties telling the split was friendly, gossips since have alluded to a rift between the drummer and the group’s frontman, Johnny Borrell.
The group had stated they would complete their touring promises with New York native and former Men, Women & Children drummer, David Sullivan Kaplan. Kaplan had also taken to the kit when Burrows strangely pulled out of a show in Wolverhampton in recent times.
The group performed their first New York date at the Hiro Ballroom on March 10. Here’s footage of the new-look Razorlight below.

Razorlight's drummer is going to leave the band

Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows has declared that he is leaving the band to "follow other musical ventures".

In an announcement on the band's website, he called the past five years an "astonishing experience" but has neow decided to quit the band "for private reasons".

Burrows attached with the band in 2004 after the leaving of original drummer Christian Smith-Pancorvo.

Burrows, who just recorded a charity solo album, wrote the band's major hit single, America.

He was not able to play at a Razorlight gig in Wolverhampton on 2 March and was swaped by David Sullivan-Kaplan.
